Meet Our Master of Ceremonies

Mike Morin has been a radio and TV personality for 44 years. Up until last year, he was the morning show co-host at WZID for 12 years and currently co-hosts Food for Thought daily from Noon to 2:00 on WTPL 107.7 FM. His memoir, Fifty Shades of Radio, covers decades of hijinx perpetrated by him as well as by his loyal listeners. He also hosts a podcast on called RESET: 40 is the New Happy, an interview series celebrating people who leave full time jobs to follow passions found in a new business or activity. Mike has written a twice-monthly humor column for the Nashua Telegraph since 2004 and was honored to be given the Will Rogers Humanitarian Award by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists in 2013. As a baker, he has won baking competitions for his mac and cheese dish as well as Chocolate Infinity cookies and Chocolate Infinity zucchini bread at the Deerfield Fair.

Chili Fest Events

Events Chili Sampling & Judging: Ends at 3:30 PM - Two separate chili sampling contests, one for professionals (restaurants and caterers), one for individuals and/or service organizations. Cast your Peoples' Choice ballot and see how it compares to the food critics Judge's Choice awards. Prizes also awarded for Best Booth Display.

Food Court Food Court: Food Court: A variety of foodstuffs will be available for purchase, along with beverages a Beer Wagon and ice cream coordinated by Pats Peak.

For The Kids

For the Kids The KidZone: Noon - 4:30 PM White Birch Community Center will coordinate a range of children's activities for kids of all ages. White Birch has been providing quality child care for ages 12 months to 14 years old in Henniker for over 30 years. Children visiting with us at the White Birch KidZone will enjoy stimulating activities, fun crafts and entertaining games. White Birch is a 501C(3) nonprofit community center that provides social, education and recreation programs for the local Henniker community.

Back for a second year are special activities courtesy of Village Idiotz including giant slide, Laser Tag and the Monster Maze.

Car Cruise In

Cruise In Antique cars, trucks and other vehicles will be featured once again.

First 50 vehicles to arrive will receive a dashboard magnet. Anyone who brings a vehicle to display in the Car Cruise will receive a discount to attend Chili Fest. There is no fee to just bring your vehicle for display.
